  • Pick-Up from Your Hotel: Between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.
    Your unforgettable day begins before sunrise. Our team will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and you’ll set out through the quiet streets as the city still sleeps. As dawn breaks, the silhouettes of the Andes slowly emerge, their snow-capped peaks glowing under the first light of day — a magical start to your journey toward one of Peru’s most iconic natural wonders.
  • Drive to Cusipata (Approx. 2 Hours) – Andean Breakfast Stop
    Enjoy a scenic drive through the Southern Valley, passing small villages, herds of llamas and alpacas, and traditional adobe houses. Upon arrival in Cusipata, you’ll stop for a hearty Andean breakfast made with local ingredients to give you energy for the adventure ahead. Warm coffee, fresh bread, quinoa porridge, and eggs will prepare you for the high-altitude hike.
  • Continue to the Trailhead (1–1.5 Hours, 4,600 m.a.s.l.)
    Continue your journey along winding mountain roads until reaching the trailhead, located at approximately 4,600 meters above sea level. From here, you’ll feel the fresh Andean breeze and see the vast, colorful landscapes that surround you. Your guide will provide final instructions and a short warm-up before you begin the trek.
  • Begin the Hike to Rainbow Mountain (1.5–2 Hours)
    Start your gradual ascent through breathtaking Andean scenery — wide valleys, herds of alpacas grazing freely, and distant peaks reflecting hues of gold and blue. Along the way, your guide will make short stops for photos and rest, sharing insights about the local communities and the wildlife that inhabit this high-altitude paradise. Each step brings you closer to the incredible sight awaiting at the top.
  • Arrival at the Summit (5,000 m.a.s.l.) – Panoramic Views of the Andes
    Upon reaching the summit, the magnificent Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) reveals itself in full glory — natural stripes of red, yellow, turquoise, and lavender painted across the mountainside.   • Return to Cusipata for Lunch
    Back at Cusipata, a warm and satisfying Andean buffet lunch awaits you. Recharge with delicious regional dishes and enjoy a well-deserved rest before the drive back to Cusco.
  • Return to Cusco (Approx. 3 Hours)
    Sit back and relax on your return journey as the scenery shifts from rugged mountain passes to green valleys. You’ll arrive in Cusco between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., with your heart full of awe and your camera full of memories.
